REVIEW:
The GolfTest USA staff had a few days prior to attending the PGA Show in January to play several of the top courses in the Orlando area. We didn’t want to miss out on playing one of Jack Nicklaus’s newest designs, The Golden Bear Club at Keene’s Pointe. It is a 1st class facility as one might expect with Jack being involved. The staff was very cordial and accommodating and made sure that all our needs were taken care of. If you like water than this is a course for you. Over half the holes bring water into play, though the course plays very fair and has wide forgiving fairways. Huge beautiful homes line the course but they are set well back from each hole and you always have the feeling of openness during play. The course was in great condition and we really enjoyed the opportunity we had to review The Golden Bear Club. We suspect this is a course you would not tire of playing on a regular basis. We should be so lucky. We know there are a lot of top rated courses in the Orlando area and we have to say that The Golden Bear Club at Keene’s Pointe belongs in that group.
