In 2007 GolfTest
USA had 25 golfers test and evaluate the Unbreakable Tee.
The following
results were tabulated from the responses of the 25 golfers.
1: After using
the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee for the past month instead
of a standard tee which tee do you prefer.
90% of the golfers preferred the Playing Pro Unbreakable
Tee over a standard tee.
2: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best rate the “Durability”
of the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee:
All the golfers rated the “Durability” a 10.
3: On a scale
of 1 to 10 with 10 being best rate the “Quality”
of the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee:
95% of the golfers rated the “Quality” a 10.
4: On a scale
of 1 to 10 with 10 being best how “strongly”
would you recommend the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee to other
golfers:
Over 90% of the golfers rated recommending the Playing Pro
Unbreakable Tee a 10.
5: On a scale
of 1 to 10 with 10 being best how “likely” will
you continue to use the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee:
Over 80% of the golfers rated continuing to use the Playing
Pro Unbreakable Tee a 10.
6: What other
colors you would like to see used for the Playing Pro Unbreakable
Tee?
Colors recommended by the golfers were white, yellow, red
and orange.
7: What did you
like best about the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee?
The best feature was its durability and also mentioned was
that it was easy to find and easy to place,
8: Is there anything
you did not like about the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee?
Comments made were as follows: 1. should be longer. 2. Stem
too thick. 3. Hard to find. 4. Did not like the orange color.
9: Is there anything
you would change about the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee?
Several comments were made about changing the color, making
it a bit longer or shorter. Please see the individual evaluations
for more detail.
10: Taking in
to account all factors that are important to you about a
golf tee on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best how would
you rate the Playing Pro Unbreakable Tee"Overall":
The average overall rating for the Playing Pro Unbreakable
Tee was 9.5. When a group of testers are asked to rate a
product a score of over 8 is usually considered an excellent
rating. With a score of 9.5 the Playing Pro Unbreakable
Tee rating is considered to be “Exceptional”.
Based on the
feedback and evaluations of the 25 golfers the Playing Pro
Unbreakable Tee received top ratings in all criteria rated.
The following
results were tabulated from the responses of the 25 golfers
based on the evaluation form that was prepared by Playing
Pro Golf.
Does it look
like wood? 80% felt the Unbreakable Tee looked like wood.
Does it feel
like wood? 70% indicated the Unbreakable Tee “felt”
like wood.
Does it play
like wood? Half the testers said Unbreakable Tee played
better than a wood tee and the other half said it played
the same as a wood tee.
Does it increase
distance? 10% of the testers felt the Unbreakable Tee increased
distance while the other 90% said it was the same as a wood
tee.
Does it increase
accuracy? 10% of the testers felt the Unbreakable Tee increased
accuracy while the other 90% said it was the same as a wood
tee.
Would you purchase
the Unbreakable Tee? 24 of the 25 testers said they would
purchase it.
Would you recommend
the Unbreakable Tee to other golfers? All 25 testers indicated
they would recommend the Unbreakable Tee to other golfers.
How many shots
do you expect the Unbreakable Tee to last? About 20 % said
it should last 100 shots, 25% said 200 shots, 25% said 300
shots and 30% said it should last 400 shots or more.
What type of
golf tee do you currently use? 80% of the testers use wood
tee while the balance of the testers was spread among “plastic”,
“brush head” and “prong head” tees.
What is the most
important reason to purchase a golf tee? 8 testers picked
“price, 16 testers picked “durability”
and 5 testers picked “performance”. (A few testers
picked two reasons so the total is more than 25.)
Where do you
currently purchase tees? Half the testers buy their tees
at a golf retail store, a few testers buy them at the course
and 35% buy them at other locations.
 Summary
Based
on the feedback and evaluations made by the 25 testers the
Unbreakable Tee received high ratings in all criteria. By
an overwhelming margin the testers felt that the Unbreakable
Tee was far superior to wood tees. The durability of the
Unbreakable Tee exceeded the claims made by Playing Pro
Golf by a substantial margin. The Unbreakable Tee is a golf
product that is of superior value, performance and quality.
