DAWGS Golf Shoe Review / January 2012

in August of 2011 GolfTest USA visited the PGA Expo Golf
Show in Las Vegas. We stopped at a booth that had some new, innovative golf shoes on display.
We were told by the DAWGS Shoe Company that they had developed two models of golf shoes that
they believed filled a void in features that golfers were looking for in golf shoes.
They explained that the DAWGS Golf Spirit was the world's lightest golf shoe. (DAWGS
Golf Spirits are also available in women's sizes and colors). They mentioned several
other features of the Spirit model such as it can be worn without socks and that it had
an adjustable Velcro strap that accommodates all foot widths.
The other golf shoe they introduced is the DAWGS Crossover model. The Crossover is designed to be worn on and off the golf course.
(The women's model is a tie style).
We asked DAWGS if they would be able to send us samples of the two models. They were kind enough to send us both
styles for myself and our Lead Test Administrator. The DAWGS Spirit and Crossover styles I received were size 8
and they turned out to be just a little too small so they sent me a size 9 in both styles which proved to fit me
just right. They don't have half sizes so it would be wise to err on the next full size if you typically wear a
half size.
After wearing each model for a couple of rounds of golf we found a lot of positives in these golf shoes. Each of
them provided excellent comfort with no break-in period. They also provided good stability and traction on all
types of footing conditions.
A real benefit of either model is that they are great for travel as they are lightweight and easy to pack. The
DAWGS Crossover, in particular, can be worn as your casual shoe away from the course while on vacation.

the two DAWGS Golf Shoe models.
DAWGS Crossover Golf Shoes My reaction when I first put on the shoes was that something this light and ultra
comfortable, would not be stable
enough to enable you to maintain balance, when hitting a golf shot from a level lie, and certainly not from an
uphill downhill or any kind of unusual lie. I was totally amazed when I put the shoes to the test, they performed
extremely well! I would rate them 5 stars for comfort, and 4 stars for stability. I would like to see them
available in half sizes and more colors, such as white, beige, brown, and blue. I did not care for the Houndstooth
look, but that's just my opinion. 
DAWGS Spirt Golf Shoes The lightest and one of the most comfortable golf shoes I have ever worn.
Molded rubber spikes offer excellent traction,
and for the most part are shock free. An adjustable Velcro strap allows for a loose or snug fit, to suit your
comfort level. Ventilation holes are a welcome feature, especially in real warm temperatures. Shoes are real easy to clean and care for. They have 9 attractive color combinations to choose from.
I would rate them 5 stars in both comfort and stability. I would like to see these available in half sizes also.

Final Summary Every once in a while we run across a new golf product that stands out and is slightly
ahead of its time.
That is certainly the case with DAWGS Golf Shoes. Another very important thing to consider is the price.
They are priced at a very value oriented price of $50 and less depending on the model. It is to DAWGS credit
that they are offering a quality product at such a reasonable cost. For more information on these very "cool"
