REVIEW:
GolfTest USA had the opportunity prior to the PGA Show in January to play several of the top courses in the Orlando area. Panther Lake and its sister course, Crooked Cat at the Orange County National Golf Center are for serious golfers. It is about 20 miles away from all the theme parks carved out of open farmland. Jason DeWildt, the Head Golf Pro did his best make us feel welcome. We could tell he was very busy but he eventually was able to make arrangements to get us out on the course. We were a little confused at first as to where we were to go. Once we hit off the first tee things improved considerably. The course is everything one looks for in a challenging round of golf. We had a little bit of difficulty finding the next hole on occasion. This is a course that would probably play easier the second time around as knowing where to hit your next shot is very important. It took us 4 hours and 35 minutes to play our round, which was not bad considering how busy it was and how difficult the course was. If getting in 36 holes in a day at two different courses is your idea of a good day of golf than this is the place to come. Overall we had a very enjoyable golfing experience.
