REVIEW:
Dinosaur
Mountain at Gold Canyon Golf Resort is located about 30
minutes east of Phoenix near Apache Junction. It has a reputation
to live up to as Golf Canyon claims that Dinosaur Mountain
Golf Course is the #1 public course in Arizona. We have
also heard from many golfers that you have to play Dinosaur
Mountain when you come to Arizona. As soon as we arrived
at the course the attendants were right there to get our
clubs and instructed us on where to proceed next. It was
very busy as there is also the adjoining Sidewinder course
and yet they were very organized in insuring that we got
the #1 tee on time. The starter was very informative and
gave us a lot of tips about the course. The GPS system was
very useful in assisting us with the layout of the hole,
trouble spots and distances to the pins. Each hole was expertly
designed to challenge golfers and also reward well struck
shots. After each hole we were excited to get to the next
hole to see the views of the mountains and what adventures
awaited us on our tee shots. The entire staff made our golfing
experience very enjoyable. There is so much more to Dinosaur
Mountain than just playing a round of golf. All of our staff
will fondly remember playing here for years to come. We
hope we get a chance to come back here again. Everything
about Dinosaur Mountain lives up to its reputation as the
#1 public course in Arizona. We look forward to having the
opportunity to review the Sidewinder course this year.
