REVIEW:
GolfTest USA had the opportunity prior to the PGA Show in January to play several of the top courses in the Orlando area. Last year we reviewed Osprey Ridge at Disney World, which is one of the top courses in the country. This year, Jim Kern, Director of Golf at Disney World (tough job but someone has to do it) invited the GolfTest USA staff to play Disney’s Palm golf course. How could we refuse after the great time we had last year. There was a lot of renovation work being done around the course as some new resort facilities were being added. We took that into account as we made our way around the course. Half of the holes brought water into play but the course played very fairly as should be the case in a predominantly tourist area. The Palms was a fun course to play and while it can’t match the grandeur and beauty of its sister course, Osprey Ridge, it still is a course that will make for an enjoyable day of golf.
